No traffic warden for Wexford’s biggest primary school as council say vacancy will not be filled

Wexford County Council (WCC) has confirmed that it will not be replacing the traffic warden at St Aidan's National School in Enniscorthy. Following the retirement of the previous warden an assessment was carried out at the school by the council's road safety officer, David Codd, and at the September meeting of the Enniscorthy Municipal District (EMD) he confirmed the vacancy would not be filled.

"We won't be replacing the school traffic warden at St Aidan's," he said. "There are three controlled pedestrian crossings in place within 400 metres of the school so we can provide safe places to cross within a short distance of all approaches to the school."
