Omaha man facing charges for weekend shooting in Millard

MILLARD, Neb. (WOWT) - The suspect in a shooting in Millard Saturday has been arrested and is facing multiple charges.

In a release Friday, the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a suspect in the shooting that injured a teen on Saturday.

Cortez D. Jackson, 29, of Omaha, was arrested on Wednesday without incident, according to the statement.

Jackson is facing three counts of Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, three counts of Discharging a Firearm near a vehicle or a building, and one charge of First Degree Assault.

Jackson's bond is set at $500,000. His preliminary hearing is set for December 9.

The victim of the shooting has since been discharged from Nebraska Medicine.
