Omaha police investigate 2 Saturday stabbing incidents, make 1 arrest
Omaha police made one arrest Saturday while investigating two separate stabbings.
A 64-year-old Omaha man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He is accused of stabbing a 33-year-old man near 22nd and Jones Streets shortly after 6 p.m.
The victim was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, according to a statement from police.
Officers are searching for a man who stabbed a 34-year-old Omaha man about 12:10 p.m. Saturday near 24th and N Streets. The victim told police he was involved in a disturbance when another man swung a knife at him, cutting his abdomen.
The victim was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center. His injuries, a police spokesman said, are not believed to be life threatening.
