One dead, one injured after double shooting in Belle Glade

One man is dead, another was injured after a double shooting in Belle Glade on Wednesday night.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) said at 7:55 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting on SW 5th Street, off SE B Avenue. After arriving, deputies discovered a tragic scene, a man was found dead from gunshot wounds, while another was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

The surviving victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to PBSO.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are investigating the double shooting as a homicide, according to PBSO. As of now, details regarding potential suspects and motives remain unknown, leaving the community in search of answers.
