Pamela Ishman, 69, remembered for her humor and warmth
Pamela "Pam" Ishman, age 69, died at home in Racine after a battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. She will be remembered for her quick wit and kindness.
Early life and careerBorn in Racine, WI, on April 1, 1955, to Allen and June (Forde) Ishman, Pam graduated from Horlick High School . She built a business career and was most recently employed at WE Energies Group .
Passions and unique spiritPam's hobbies included caring for her horses, cooking, and spending time with her dog, Lola. She enjoyed finding treasures at flea markets, rehabbing furniture, and organizing unforgettable family trips. Known as the "Queen of the comeback," Pam's sharp humor, wisdom, and "sometimes inappropriate" jokes were among her defining characteristics.
Family and cherished friendsPam is survived by her sisters, Cheryl Brown and Elizabeth Koleske, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was surrounded by a circle of close friends and coworkers who were important in her life.
Acknowledgements and gratitudePam's family extends deep gratitude to Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care, and special thanks to Liz and Angie, who became part of the family during Pam's final days.
Preceded in deathPam was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and June; brothers, Dana and Ronn Ishman; brother-in-law, Ray Brown; and sister-in-law, Donna Ishman.
