Patriots Safety Jabrill Peppers Could Face Charge In Braintree: Report The team said they are aware of "an incident" but won't be commenting further as of now.

BRAINTREE, MA — Patriots safety and team captain Jabril Peppers is likely to face charges out of Braintree after an arrest on Saturday.

According to reports, Peppers was arrested on charges including strangulation and drug possession after an altercation.

Report Doug Kyed said the team issued a statement but didn't offer much comment on the matter.

"We are aware of an incident involving Jabrill Peppers over the weekend in which the police are currently investigating. We will have no further comment at this time," the team said.

Peppers didn't play during the team's 15-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday as he was out with an injury.
