PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Just a few minutes later, a funnel cloud over Marquette Heights turned into a tornado that touched down on Springfield road in East Peoria which had 9 minutes warning of the twister. Unlike the Pekin tornado, the East Peoria wasn't short lived. The tornado stayed on the ground and hit the west side of Washington with 190 mile per hour winds. Washington was the hardest hit as 3 people lost their lives. The twister stayed on the ground of 46 miles ending near Long Point in Livingston county.
