Pennsylvania limo service to drive donations to North Carolina for relief efforts

(WHTM) — Grassroots support from the Midstate is heading to Asheville, North Carolina to help with the Hurricane Helene recovery effort.

Unique Limousine is collecting items to take to survivors at its Harrisburg and Reading locations, including nonperishable food items, paper products, clothing, and more. The service will deliver the donations to farmers who live near damaged Asheville areas to be distributed directly to those in need.

"We have friends and family down there and they've been telling us what they need," said Tracy Salinger, the CEO and President of Unique Limousine. "It's all listed on our Facebook page. You can go there. Just nonperishable food and things and individual packets are what's needed most."

Visit Unique Limousine's Facebook page for a list of specific items. Items can be dropped off this Monday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The group will leave for Asheville on Tuesday.
