People are saying the same thing about MAGA fashion show, where budding designers showed off their Donald Trump-inspired clothing

The internet has fiercely ridiculed a MAGA fashion show, which contained a series of Donald Trump-inspired clothing items.

About 200 of the former President's supporters gathered at the 'America First Warehouse' in Long Island on Tuesday to watch a slew of budding designers showcase their fashion pieces dedicated to Trump.

A dress painted to look like an American flag with the politician's face on it, a gown with his name written in diamonds, and a rhinestone-encrusted MAGA cap were just some of the items displayed on the runway.

But when footage of the catwalk show was shared online, people on social media didn't have the nicest things to say about it.

X and Instagram were quickly flooded with posts from liberals criticizing the fashion show, with one person branding it as 'tacky' and another calling it 'cringe.'

'I thought this was satire,' one person wrote.

'If you haven't gotten your daily fill of cringe, the whole video is worth watching,' added another, alongside a clip from the fashion show.

'Hyperventilating. Laughing so hard I will have abs by tomorrow. They just took existing clothing and added TRUMP,' someone else said.

'This was hard to watch, can only imagine actually being there,' a fourth post read.

A fifth simply said, 'This cannot be real....'

'The cult mentality of MAGA is mind boggling,' a different user stated.

'It's a bad day to have eyes, another sarcastic quip read.

'It's giving United States of Temu,' someone else joked.

'Tacky is too kind of a word to describe this,' one person added.

Entitled the America First Patriotic Designer Showcase, 'about a dozen small labels and independent makers' participated in the show, the New York Times reported.

Among those was Deborah Yanna, a designer who launched her own line of custom Trump-inspired sequined jackets, called Make America Sparkle Again, earlier this year.

She sells the coats, which have various Trump catch phrases or slogan etched onto them, for anywhere from $375-$500.

Lena Ruseva, who makes murals with famous characters that have Trump's faces painted on to them, walked the runway in an eye-popping American flag dress.

In addition, a designer named Sara Brady showed off a red ballgown that had the words 'America's comeback' written on the skirt along with a photo of Trump.

The show was held at the America First Warehouse in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, which has hosted numerous conservative events over the years.

It was organized by Cindy Grosz, a Long Island-native and Republican who previously ran for a congressional seat but lost.

The Daily Beast reported that 'a lineup of state politicians, Trump organizers and niche celebrities' were in attendance.

Daniel Erbe, 'an award-winning international professional singer,' per his website, kicked off the event by singing the national anthem, while musician Lovari took to the stage later to perform his song Keep it Movin'.
