Person with serious non-burn injury found in car outside L.A. house fire
One person was hospitalized after being found outside a home that caught fire in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles Friday morning.
Firefighters were called to a blaze in the 2700 block of South Alsace Avenue around 7 a.m., officials said. Flames were visible on the second floor of the two-story four-plex.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said that nearly three dozen firefighters extinguished the fire in 15 minutes and found no patients inside the structure.
One patient was found in a vehicle outside the home with a traumatic injury, but it was not from a burn, the Fire Department said. The unidentified patient was taken to a local hospital in "at least" serious condition.
An arson team was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
