Petoskey man sentenced to 60 days in jail for embezzling vouchers meant for veterans in need

man who embezzled vouchers intended for use by veterans has been sentenced to serve 60 days in jail. According to UpNorthLive, Joshua Galle, 41, of Petoskey was given credit for two days served and ordered to pay more than $2,000 in restitution and fines. Galle was an official with the Charlevoix County Veterans Affairs office when his scheme was uncovered. Galle was arrested in April after being accused of embezzling vouchers that were intended to be used by veterans in need and using the money for his own benefit. According to The Petoskey News-Review, Galle pleaded guilty to four counts of embezzlement in September. He was sentenced on Nov. 1.
