HARBOR SPRINGS — Several pipe bombs were found at a Harbor Springs thrift store, Michigan State Police confirmed in a press release Thursday.

The Michigan State Police responded to a call from New Beginnings Thrift Shop at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday after a worker started looking through a donation box. The box contained multiple tools, and what the worker believed to be pipe bombs.

The Michigan State Police Bomb Squad and Canine Team were called to the scene. The bomb squad took an X-ray of the pipe bombs and found one of them contained a fuse and powder. The team rendered it safe to diffuse the bomb.
