Pipe bombs found in box donated to Michigan thrift store
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police are investigating after several pipe bombs were found in a box donated to a thrift store in Emmet County.

Police were called in Wednesday afternoon after the box was discovered at the New Beginnings Thrift Shop in Harbor Springs. According to investigators, a worker there was sifting through the box that held several tools and pieces of pipe when he came across the items.
A bomb squad and canine team were sent to the scene to investigate.
"The MSP Bomb Squad took an X-ray of the pipe bombs and found one of them to contain a fuse and powder. The MSP Bomb Squad was able to render it safe and dispose of the bomb," the agency said in a statement .
The canine team conducted a sweep of the business and surrounding area and found no other explosive devices.
Investigators have not identified any suspects. The case remains under investigation.
