TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — You know what they say in theatre, the show must go on! Like several schools across Tampa Bay, Plant High School in Tampa saw significant damage due to Helene and Milton. Missing kangaroo captured in Hernando County The school's nearly 100-year-old auditorium experienced about two feet of flooding, according to staff. However, theatre students have been improvising to make sure their production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream could still happen. "We had rehearsals outside; we were having rehearsals in the chorus room," Plant High Theatre Director Jaime Giangrande-Holcom said. "We would have rehearsals anywhere we could." Giangrande-Holcom said she, like several students, lost her home during Helene. "My heart is overwhelmed by the love and support that they have for each other," she said. "They don't want to let each other down." Students and staff were able to pull everything together for the show within about two weeks. "The hard work we put in to collaborate and to get to know each other, not just as people who work together but as people, seeing that I think will be really magical," Plant High School student Ellen Russell said. If you would like to watch the school's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, tickets are $10 for students, $15 for adults and $25 for reserved seating.{/p/p}
