Police seek suspect in hit-and-run crash with bicyclist in North Austin

Austin police are looking for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist in critical condition in North Austin on Monday.

It happened on October 14 at 11:09 p.m. at the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Anderson Lane service road.

APD's Highway Enforcement Investigations unit says a pickup truck was traveling near the area when it crashed with a bicyclist. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this time, they are in stable condition.

The suspect vehicle did not stop to render aid or call 911 and left the scene immediately after the crash.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black Dodge pickup truck and is lifted or taller than stock height.
