Police: Teenager shot in the leg in Binghamton Sunday

BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) — Binghamton Police found a teenager with a gunshot wound in a Binghamton parking lot late Sunday evening.

According to BPD, at around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, officers responded to the rear parking lot of 100 Susquehanna Street near building D for a report of a gunshot wound victim. Police say the 16-year-old Binghamton teen had been hit with a gunshot to his thigh.

Officers provided medical treatment until EMS arrived. The teen was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say four .45 caliber bullet casings were found at the scene.

As of this reporting, there is no suspect in custody or a description to be given out. BPD is currently investigating the situation.
