CHICAGO (CBS) - Chicago Police issued a community alert this weekend about a group of armed robbers who have been using dating apps to lure victims on the city's South Side.

Police said this has happened three times over the last three weeks.

In the first incident at 6:46 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, a person was lured to an abandoned building in the 800 block of East 90th Street in Chatham. After they met with a man, one or two other men came out and demanded items at knifepoint, police said.

They also stole the victim's gun.

When the next victim was lured to the same building at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, the group used a gun to rob them.

A gun was also used in a robbery after a luring at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue in Auburn Gresham.

The offenders in each incident are two to three men, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Calumet Area detectives at 312-747-8273.
