Possible tornado touchdown on the Oregon Coast Monday night
PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A trained weather spotter reported a tornado yesterday evening around 9:24 pm in Rockaway Beach, Oregon.

The tornado possibly formed within a strong thunder cell that moved through the coastline Monday evening.

Rockaway Beach residents took to a community Facebook group to show photos and videos of the damage, including damage to a fence and a small tree.
There were also reports of roof shingles, a window and dirt and debris being tossed around the National Weather Service said.
For now, the tornado report remains unconfirmed. The National Weather Service will need to perform a damage survey of the area before it is considered a confirmed tornado with an EF rating.
