PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — The third, and most important match-up of the year, goes to Normal West.
The Wildcats beat Normal Community, 25-14 and 30-28, in a 4A sectional volleyball semifinal at Normal West on Tuesday. West advances to play O'Fallon for the sectional championship on Thursday.
Normal Community beat West in September in the Intercity Tournament but the Wildcats won the Big 12 Conference match between the schools in October.
Other sectional volleyball semifinal winners included Lexington, Heyworth, Illini Bluffs, Henry-Senachwine, El Paso-Gridley, and Central Catholic. Morton, Tremont, Brimfield and LeRoy lost their matches.
