President Joe Biden to visit Arizona next week. What to know

President Joe Biden will travel to Arizona next week as the Nov. 5 election draws closer.

Biden will travel to the battleground state from Oct. 24-25 for an "official event," according to a statement from the White House.

The president's visit to the battleground state adds to a series of campaign stops from high-profile Democrats. Vice President Kamala Harris visited the state last week , along with second gentleman Doug Emhoff and first lady Jill Biden .

Barack Obama will visit Tucson on Friday, Oct. 18.

Recent polls show former President Donald Trump, who held a rally in Prescott Valley on Sunday, is ahead of Harris in the state as early voting began.
