Ramp closures ahead in Omaha area on I-480, Nebraska 370

Travelers on Nebraska Highway 370 and Interstate 480 will face ramp closures over the next few days and nights, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

The off-ramp from westbound Highway 370 to Nebraska Highway 50 in western Sarpy County will be closed from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, said Barbara Gerbino-Bevins, district traffic engineer for the Transportation Department.

She said workers will be repairing concrete. The work is expected to be completed in a single night.

The I-480 off-ramp at Leavenworth Street in downtown Omaha will close at 9 a.m. Friday and remain so through 6 a.m. Monday. That will allow patch repairs by city work crews, Gerbino-Bevins said.

She said the 168th Street bridge over West Dodge Road also may be closed from Thursday at 9 p.m. to Friday at 6 a.m. and Friday at 9 p.m. to Saturday at 6 a.m. as part of the rehabilitation project for West Dodge bridges from 168th Street to Skyline Drive.

The work was scheduled for last week but has been delayed because of recent rains, Gerbino-Bevins said.

Omaha's Public Works Department also announced new lane closures this week:

Pacific Street between South 90th Street and South 91st Circle will be restricted to one lane westbound for utility work in the outside curb lane until Sunday.

The intersection of South 33rd and Farnam Streets will have varying lane restrictions for utility work related to the Omaha streetcar project until Nov. 28.

The intersection of South 24th and Martha Streets will have varying lane restrictions for utility work until Nov. 21.
