Randolph man dies in two-vehicle collision on Blair High Road

A 69-year-old Randolph, Nebraska, man died Monday night following a two-vehicle collision on Blair High Road just northwest of Omaha.

Lowell F. Wiese was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center where was pronounced deceased, according to a statement from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

A preliminary investigation determined that Wiese was northbound on Blair High Road about 8:50 p.m. in a Chevrolet Equinox. Klaw Reh, 17, of Omaha, was eastbound on State Street in a Honda CR-V.

Investigators said indications are Wiese failed to stop for a traffic signal and his Chevrolet collided with the Honda. Reh was taken to an Omaha hospital with only minor injuries and is expected to survive.
