Rave Baby Reno returns to support scholarships for Desert Peach Montessori

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Desert Peach Montessori is hosting Rave Baby Reno next weekend. It's a lively, family-friendly dance party happening on Sunday, Oct. 27 at The Eddy in downtown Reno. This heartwarming event offers families a chance to come together for an afternoon of fun, music, and celebration, all while raising crucial funds for Desert Peach Montessori's scholarship program, which ensures equitable access to high-quality Montessori education for children from diverse backgrounds.

Tara Webster, parent and founding board member at Desert Peach Montessori; Cooper Brinson, another parent; and Natalie Henriques, one of the school's teaching assistants, stopped by Morning Break to talk about how this event will be a joyful experience for the whole family, with a variety of activities to enjoy.

Activities:

Live DJ sets from local favorite DJ RaverTot

Food trucks serving delicious local eats

Face painting and other creative activities for kids

Bounce house, stilt walkers, and light dancers, to captivate the entire family

Plus, an exciting raffle, a 50/50 draw, and a few surprises along the way!

All proceeds will directly support Desert Peach Montessori's scholarship program, helping local families afford an authentic Montessori education. With recent changes to Nevada's childcare subsidy program and the conclusion of COVID relief funding, the need for financial support has never been greater. Desert Peach Montessori currently accepts enrollment for toddlers ages 12 months (and walking) to 3 years.
