3rd Annual National Sandwich Day to make food for 8K in Greenville

Greenville, S.C. (WSPA) – VisitGreenvilleSC is the destination marketing organization for Greenville and partners will will join forces today to serve nonprofits who feed the hungry.

Since 2022, VisitGreenvilleSC has been bringing the local hospitality community together to make thousands of sandwiches.

The sandwiches are given away to local food banks, schools, soup kitchens and shelters.

This time around Duke's, Feed & Seed, Spinx, Trueline, Clemson MBA, Sysco and Beltram will help to distribute to nonprofits Project Host, Meals on Wheels and Loaves & Fishes.

More than 18,000 sandwiches have been made by hundreds of volunteers since the start

The plan this year is to make 8,000 throughout the day.
