HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After a good run of milder temperatures, an approaching cold front will change the complexion of our weather the rest of the week. The front will push through all but the extreme southeast corner of the state by Thursday morning bringing a switch to northwest winds that will be on the gusty side with gusts to 30 to 35 mph. Temperatures on Thursday will be some 15 to 20 degrees cooler that Wednesday’s highs, as afternoon temperatures level off in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Friday will be evening cooler with highs bottoming out in the mid 30s. Thursday afternoon. (KSNB) Friday afternoon. (KSNB) Thursday night an upper level trough will track to the south of Nebraska but some precipitation in the form of snow or a wintry mix depending on the timing, could impact parts of North Central Kansas and perhaps migrate into Southeast Nebraska. A second disturbance could produce small chances for flurries or sprinkles on Saturday with another wave now indicating a slight chance for mainly rain showers on Monday.
