During an interview with Focus , Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos once more reiterated that he has no immediate plans to go into coaching following his retirement from playing professional soccer earlier this year.

Kroos shocked the world by announcing that he would hang up his boots following Germany's unsuccessful quest to win the Euros on home soil.

Led by FC Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, Kroos' adopted homeland Spain went all the way to the final in Berlin, and beat back-to-back runners-up England 2-1 to clinch a record fourth crown after eliminating Germany from the quarterfinals.

Kroos walked away from the game at the height of his powers aged 34, and while he was unable to achieve a fairytale ending with his country, he certainly sealed one at Madrid who he helped to record-extending 15th and 36th Champions League and La Liga crowns either side of an emotional farewell at the Bernabeu.

Kroos is currently enjoying time with his family, and has started his own equivalent to the Kings League while also setting up an academy for youngsters in the Spanish capital.

More than busy with these matters, he once again reinforced the message that he has no immediate plans to go into coaching when the topic of manning the dugout in the near future was raised in an interview with Focus.

"Not at the moment," Kroos stated. "Of course, I can't say if things will be any different ten years from now. But I don't want to quickly go back to a rhythm that I consciously left behind: being busy from morning to night, traveling a lot, sleeping in hotels, that's what has tired me over the years."

Despite this, Kroos isn't ruling out management one day. "I think I would contribute something to the work of coaching," he said.

Above all, the midfielder whose presence Madrid clearly misses in the center of the park believes he made the right decision.

"I don't regret having retired," Kroos remarked, ahead of shedding light on his plans as per living arrangements.

"The plan for the coming years is very clear: our main residence is and will continue to be Madrid. But there will always be some phases of the year, during the summer holidays or sometimes around Christmas, when we are in Germany," he explained.
