Report: Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott will be inactive, not travel to Atlanta for 'disciplinary reasons'
DALLAS — The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly be without one of its top running backs for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Ezekiel Elliott is expected to be inactive and not travel to Atlanta for the game "because of disciplinary reasons," according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter . Schefter did not clarify in his report what Elliott was being disciplined for.
WFAA has reached out to the Cowboys for more information.
Elliott returned to the Cowboys this season and has 149 yards on 48 carries and two touchdowns in seven games.
This comes after fellow running back Rico Dowdle was listed as inactive last week for a reported illness, but was seen on the sidelines signing fan autographs .
Elliott would join Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland on the inactive list , who are each battling injuries that have kept them out for weeks.
Dallas kicks off against Atlanta at noon CT on Sunday.
