Residents left without water after damage to main
Residents have been left without water in parts of Dorset after damage caused by a "third party", an MP has said.
Wessex Water has issued a warning of no water and low pressure in the Poole area and confirmed it was investigating.
In an alert on its website, the water firm said it was aiming to "resolve this as quickly as possible" and apologised for any inconvenience.
MP Neil Duncan-Jordan posted on social media saying the problem should be fixed later on Friday evening.
He released a statement saying: "There is currently a water outage in Poole due to third party damage to a water main. Wessex Water are on site fixing this."
He explained anyone on the priority services register should have been contacted by Wessex Water and warned constituents they may experience discolouration once water was restored.
He added: "Wessex Water advise to run your cold water kitchen tap for up to 30 to 40 minutes until the water runs clean again.
"As always, my team are on hand to support any constituents."
