WILKES-BARRE — Several rivers in the area are above flood stage due to earlier heavy rainfall, the National Weather Service at Binghamton, New York reports. Water levels on many rivers will remain high as rivers continue to respond to earlier rainfall.
Today there will be a chance of showers this morning, then rain likely between 10 a.m. and noon; showers likely after noon, cloudy, with a high near 44. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent; new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
A chance of rain showers tonight, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 9 p.m. and midnight; cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent; little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Saturday night, mostly clear, with a low around 36.
