Danny DeVito turns 80!

On Sunday, Nov. 17, DeVito's It's Always Sunny in Philadephia costars Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson celebrated the actor's milestone birthday with touching tributes shared on their social media accounts.

Alongside a photo of DeVito pointing to the camera, McElhenney penned a sweet message in honor of the industry vet's special day.

"This man was born 80 years ago today," he wrote in a tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter). "He could still drink you under the table. He could still make you laugh harder than anyone you've ever met. He could still make you feel like you're the only person in the room."

"He could still give you the best advice you've ever gotten and make you feel loved no matter what. He's an American treasure," McElhenney continued, adding, "There is only one [Danny DeVito]."

On Instagram, Olson also paid tribute to the Emmy winner with a cute picture of the two sitting in a kitchen dressed in holiday attire. The duo was shown nibbling on some food for a photoshoot.

"Happy birthday to my favorite (rum) ham," she captioned the post. "Danny DeVito is everything you want him to be. Lights up every room, makes sure everyone is taken care of, gives his whole heart to everything and everyone he loves. Here's to 80 more. I wouldn't put it past him."

DeVito has starred on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia alongside McElhenney, Olson, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day since 2005 for over 16 seasons. He recently spoke to PEOPLE in October about the FXX comedy's upcoming crossover episode with ABC hit Abbott Elementary.

Although DeVito offered minimal details about the big television event, he said the audience would love it just as much as the cast enjoyed filming.

"We had a great time," he said of working together on set. "They're wonderful people. It's such an odd mix, so it's going to be fun."

The Batman Returns actor also shared that there are "lots of surprises," and joked, "I think we get a little wild in the show for them, but they're handling us pretty well."
