A life devoted to adventure and passion

Robert Dean McFarland, born on March 24, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin, unexpectedly died on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert and Priscilla (Eland) McFarland. A proud Racine native, Robert lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and devotion to family and friends.

Early life and career

Robert graduated from William Horlick High School in 1982. Over the years, he pursued careers in sales at Hals Harley-Davidson and most recently served as a driver for Forward Air. His passion for motorcycles, particularly Harley-Davidsons, was ignited at the young age of six when he took his first ride on a Honda Z50, a moment that fueled his lifelong love for riding.

A proud member of the Harley owners group

Robert's enthusiasm for motorcycles never waned, and he became a dedicated member of HOG (Harley Owners Group) for over 20 years, fostering lifelong friendships and traveling the open road with fellow riders. Throughout his life, he proudly owned over 15 motorcycles, with his last ride being on his cherished Harley.

Hobbies and community involvement

Robert was also a member of The Racine County Line Rifle Club and the NRA, reflecting his love for the outdoors and hobbies like hunting and fishing. His life was marked by his adventurous spirit and dedication to the communities that he cherished.

Family and loved ones

Robert is survived by his siblings, David McFarland, Patrick (Linda) McFarland, Kathy (Phillip) Kucera, and Scott (Colleen) McFarland. His nieces, nephews, relatives, and many close friends will remember him fondly.

Funeral services

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.

Robert's love for life, motorcycles, and community will be missed by all who know him.
