Seattle Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker III ‘doubtful’ for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is not expected to play on Sunday when the Seahawks host the Miami Dolphins in a Week 3 game.

If Walker doesn't play, he will miss his second consecutive game as he continues to deal with the nagging oblique injury he sustained in the Seahawks' Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos.

Seattle coach Mike Macdonald acknowledged that Walker likely won't play on Sunday, but he is progressing.

"Not looking great right now for the game ... but working his tail off, getting better," Macdonald told reporters Friday.

According to the team's injury report, Walker was limited in practice on Friday. That's good news for the Seahawks because he hadn't fully practiced at all since the injury, leading and Macdonald to expresse optimism Walker could be back for the team's Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

"I'm very optimistic," Macdonald told reporters. "The extra day helps."

With Walker out, backup Zach Charbonnet will start against the Dolphins.
