Secaucus Police Blotter, Oct. 28 - Nov. 3 Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Oct. 28 at 1:13 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Angel Masso of Weehawken, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $550. Mr. Masso was able to post bail for the involved warrant. Mr. Masso was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.
On Oct. 28 at 4:06 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male, Kareem Martin of Bellieve, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $750. Newark did release Mr. Martin on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Martin was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.
On Oct. 30 at 4:40 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in October of 2023 in the area of 300 Plaza Drive, the police arrested a 50-year-old male, Fenghua Zhao of New Hyde Park, NY for Sexual Assault [2C:14-2C(1)] and False Imprisonment [2C:13-3]. Mr. Zhao was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Zhao was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 31 at 11:40 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take into custody a 34-year-old male, Abdul Franklin of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Franklin was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Lawrence, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Franklin was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 31 at 12:59 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested an 18-year-old male, Sebastian Salomon of Bayonne, NJ along with an 18-year-old female, Shayla Medina of Palm Bay, FL for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Salomon and Ms. Medina were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On Oct. 31 at 1:27 p.m., Secaucus Police Detectives responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28-year-old male, Devon Anderson of Piscataway, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Anderson was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Nov. 1 at 10:50 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 24-year-old female, Leana Melendez of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Ms. Melendez was issued her complaint summonsand was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
