Sheriffs arrest woman with active warrants in multiple Pa. counties
A woman with multiple warrants in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties was taken into custody Wednesday by Allegheny County Sheriff's deputies.
Carley L. Johnson, 27, who lists addresses in Irwin and Pittsburgh, has been a fugitive since April 2023, when she failed to appear in Westmoreland County district court on robbery and simple assault charges.
In addition, Sheriff Kevin Kraus said Johnson has active arrest warrants out of Mt. Lebanon for a prostitution charge, out of West Mifflin for a theft charge and in Pittsburgh for the aggravated assault of a 2-year-old boy.
Detectives developed information that Johnson was at a home on Crucible Street in the city's West End. Around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, they found Johnson hiding in the house under a stack of blankets.
She was taken into custody, denied bail and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
A Nov. 22 preliminary hearing is set in Pittsburgh Municipal Court. An attorney for Johnson was not listed in court records.
