Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Showers move in to start off the weekend before fall starts on Sunday. Then we see showers return all work week. More details below:

TONIGHT:

We end the work week with partly cloudy cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will fall to the upper fifties along with a clam breeze and some patchy fog.

SATURDAY:

We start the weekend with some showers and maybe a rumble of thunder for Saturday afternoon and evening as a low pressure system moves by to our north. It will be a bit cooler with highs in the upper seventies to near eighty and a breeze from the south around 5 mph.

SUNDAY:

Sunday is the first day of fall. It will certainly feel like it out there with highs in the lower to mid seventies along with partly cloudy skies.

WORK WEEK:

Shower chances returns Monday afternoon as another low pressure system moves by our region. It will cooler again with highs in the upper sixties. Shower persist throughout the rest of the work week. Highs will be in the mid sixties on Tuesday. Then we warm to the upper sixties to near seventy for Wednesday into Thursday. And we sit in the lower seventies on Friday.
