Shreveport restaurant celebrates 5 years, local food & international wine

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Fat Calf Brasserie has announced its grand celebration, Fête du Veau, to serve Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.

Fat Calf Brasserie is French-inspired and uses locally sourced ingredients known for its inventive dishes and for bringing the community together, led by Chef Anthony Felan.

On Sunday, November 24th, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., they invite the public to enjoy an afternoon of food and wine sampling from an extensive international wine collection.

'Chef Anthony and the talented Fat Calf team have curated a sumptuous buffet-style feast, complete with passed hors d'oeuvres and decadent desserts. Guests will be treated to tastings of 35 premium wines from around the world, sample creative specialty cocktails from our skilled bartenders, and enjoy live music from Junior The Third,' according to the news release.

"We are incredibly grateful to the Highland neighborhood and the wider Shreveport community for embracing our vision and supporting us over these past five years," said Chef Anthony. "Fête du Veau is a celebration of this wonderful journey and a thank you to our supporters who have made it all possible."

Local chef opens fine dining restaurant in Shreveport

The event is for 21 and up, and tickets cost $150. From experience, reserve your ticket because their events sell out quickly.

The celebration will be at Fat Calf Brasserie, 3030 Creswell Avenue , Shreveport. Limited on-site parking is available.
