Sneak a Look at New Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Maps Coming Next Week
Core multiplayer maps Hideout and Extraction, as well as Strike map Heirloom, will be added to the first-person shooter when Season 1 goes live. It's unclear whether all three will debut at once or if players will be drip fed over time.
Core multiplayer maps can be used with any game type, and both Hideout and Extraction will offer 6v6 scuffles. Heirloom is built for 2v2 matches, particularly Gunfight, but it can also be used as a typical 6v6 map as well.
Developer Treyarch has posted that more maps will be coming mid-season, but here's everything we know about the new multiplayer maps slated for next week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 newest maps
Here are all of the details so far on the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps arriving with Season 1 on Nov. 14.
We can surmise that Hideout looks to be set on some sort of military base, with massive tented barracks in the center of the map. You'll find several nooks and crannies on flyby, with abandoned vehicles and sparse areas to hide in if you're interested in waiting for your enemies.
Extraction is situated in a picturesque hangar surrounded by glistening coastal waters, palm trees and a helipad off to the side. There looks to be a massive enclosure area, as well as buses, choppers and crashing waves to explore - but you won't want to get caught up in taking in the scenery.
Heirloom is set in a large museum-like enclosure with various exotic (and likely priceless) items. It looks to be perfect for close-quarters combat and shootouts, making it an excellent option for the intimate setting of a 2v2 Gunfight.
All three new Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps won't cost a thing. You'll get all three of them for free, no matter whether you're playing the latest Call of Duty by way of Xbox Game Pass or if you purchased a copy.
There will be a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 battle pass debuting with Season 1 that is separate from the maps. It will cost 1,100 COD points (about $10) and grant you weapon blueprints, charms, emblems, skins and other unlockable goodies. The new multiplayer maps, however, are not a part of the battle pass.
Additional maps released throughout the life cycle of Black Ops 6 will also be free of charge.
