In other dynamic Black women news, Solange Knowles took up space at the 13th Annual LACMA Art+Film Gala in a striking custom Gucci gown (inspired by Gucci Ancora Notte) that should be on everybody's fashion favorite list.

The black, show-stopping garb draped perfectly off Knowles' slim body, stylishly decorating her svelte frame. It featured one long sleeve, a mock neck, and a gold closure holding together a wide opening in the middle of her chest that traveled down her bodice, revealing her hip and long leg. The "Cranes in the Sky" crooner accessorized the gorgeous dress with bold gold earrings and a gold bangle. The Houston, Texas native wore her textured hair in long waves cascading down her back, and her makeup was soft and natural. Knowles topped the look off with black sandals that featured structured gold heels.

In the video, posted on Gucci's , Knowles was recorded working the stunning gown in front of paparazzi and modeling it in a modestly decorated home. The songwriter pranced around in the frock, showing off its style versatility, and even took the time to salute her Black girl magic roots by perfecting her edges in a mirror with a toothbrush. "I'm really inspired by design. Whether it be through clothing, architecture, or objects. From me, design is the act of saying, 'I was here,'" Knowles voiced in the video.
