SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (KCAU) – There are plenty of high-powered high school football offenses throughout Siouxland, including #3 Spirit Lake. The Indians continue its climb as they head into its regular season finale tomorrow night.

Spirit Lake has done more than just bounce back after its Week 1 loss at home to Algona. The Indians have won its last six games, all by 30 or more points.

The #3 ranked team in class 2A has flexed its ability to throw the ball all season, but the run game has been huge for the team this year. Running back Bode Higgins has found the back of the endzone ten times, good for second-most in the district.

Spirit Lake producing plenty of positives, but the team has its sights set on bigger goals.

"We come out here every day, we have one goal in mind. Let's get better. So, day one, we weren't as good as we are today. But we're going to keep going. We'll be as good as we can be. The last game of the year. Key to getting there is just to focus on ourselves. You can only control, you can control." Lundt said.

"I found this group of guys just worked incredibly hard their whole high school career, the effort they've given summer workouts throughout the fall just a high character group of guys. And so, yeah, I expect these guys to play the way they're playing. They're just a lot of fun to be around, really high expectations for themselves. Spirit Lake head coach Josh Bolluyt added. "They want to be great. They come out here every day, practice wise, driving themselves and striving to be their best. And they're super, super talented. Right. But it takes all of that in. This group's got a lot of those things. It's a special group."

Spirit Lake wraps up regular season play at home against Clarion-Goldfield-Dows tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
