St. Petersburg Waives Fees, Opens Remote Sites To Speed Hurricane Recovery
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- St. Petersburg is making it easier for residents to repair their homes after Hurricane Milton. The city is waiving permitting fees and setting up remote permitting sites to streamline the recovery process.
No Fees for Hurricane Repairs
For the next six months, homeowners can get permits for hurricane-related demolition and repairs without paying any application or inspection fees. This initiative, which began after Hurricane Helene, aims to help residents rebuild quickly and affordably.
Remote Permitting Sites for Easy Access
To make the process even more convenient, the city has established Remote Permitting Sites across St. Petersburg. These sites offer residents a convenient alternative to visiting the main permitting office.

These sites are open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., but schedules may change depending on post-storm conditions. For the latest updates on locations and operating hours, visit www.stpete.org/recovery .
