FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - STAR 88.3 is hosting its 26th annual 'Adoption Celebration' on Saturday at the Parkview Mirro Center. From 3 to 6 p.m., the free, open house-style event will offer a space for foster care and adoptive families to form a network of resources and relationships. Organizers say various agencies will have information available on-site. In addition, there will be games, prizes, family-friendly activities, refreshments, and a DJ. STAR 88.3′s 26th annual 'Adoption Celebration' shortly began after president and CEO Melissa Montana brought her daughter home from Guatemala through adoption. She says she has a passion for bringing adoptive and foster care families together and wants to help others through their journey.
