4-star SG Kaden Magwood names three finalists, sets commitment date
Charlotte (N.C.) Combine Academy four-star shooting guard Kaden Magwood is down to three schools, he tells On3's Joe Tipton. He will announce his commitment on November 11th.
Magwood will choose between Ole Miss NC State
The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Magwood is the nation's No. 60 overall prospect, No. 17 shooting guard and No. 2 recruit from North Carolina in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Magwood has taken several official visits thus far, including ones to each of his three finalists. He recapped each of those visits with On3.
NC STATE: "When you go to the Final Four, they really notice you. When I was with Coach (Kevin) Keatts , everyone knew him everywhere we went. The way they play, the way they practice, before the visit I didn't realize how intense things were there. Everything is close by on that campus and they have tunnels that make it easier to get around everywhere.
"My relationship continues to grow with them since the visit. I talk to the coaches like every week, so things are still good there."
OLE MISS: "They have two senior guards there that will be leaving. So there will be an opportunity there for me to come in and be the starter from day one. The coaching staff was really cool there, I really liked being around them. And the whole culture with the program, I really liked it. I talk a lot with Coach (Wes) Flannigan and Coach (Chris) Beard a lot."
