START bus service to Jackson Hole Airport begins Dec. 14
JACKSON, Wyo. — From December 2024 through April 13, 2025, locals and travelers can ride the bus to and from the Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) and connect to the greater START transit network.
According to a press release from JAC, buses will depart every hour, on the hour, from the Miller Park transit hub to the airport starting at 5 a.m. daily. The last bus to the airport will depart Miller Park at 9 p.m.
Buses will depart every hour from JAC to Town beginning at 5:40 a.m. daily. The last bus from the airport is scheduled 9:40 p.m., but will wait until 10 p.m. to accommodate late arrivals.
The four stops in Town are the same as last winter: Miller Park, Antler Inn, Deloney and Willow and the Home Ranch Welcome Center. The Miller Park shuttle stop is located on the west side of Milward Street on the corner of Deloney.
Airport shuttle buses have a 53-seat capacity and offer luggage storage under the bus.
"The survey data collected encouraged us to bring the route back this winter," Ty Hoath, START Board Chairperson, said in the press release. "We believe these types of services will reduce the number of vehicles on our local roadways, emissions and the impacts of tourism."
Riders are encouraged to download the Transit App to purchase tickets, check bus schedules and monitor route progress during operating hours. Customers can also pay cash upon boarding the bus, but drivers cannot make change. Credit card purchases can be made using the app. According to the press release, the fare structure has not changed.
Adult one-way fares are $10. One-way fares for seniors, children 12 and under and individuals with disabilities are $5. Children 8 years old and under ride for free when riding with an adult.
Teton Village, Star Valley, Teton Valley and other seasonal or monthly passes are not valid on the Airport shuttle route.
