Police said she made eight calls to several different police agencies over four days, including six calls to three different agencies on Wednesday night.

According to arrest documents, Midvale Police requested assistance from other agencies regarding a 911 call from the 4300 block of South Marvinwood Drive in Taylorsville. A woman, later identified as Mendenhall, reportedly told authorities that she was abducted, put into the trunk of a car, and that a male suspect had an AK-47 rifle.

Mendenhall reportedly told police that she believed the suspect lived in a townhome near Salt Lake Community College. She described the residence as "the last home on the street next to a white barrier in the neighborhood behind [the] SLCC campus."

Arrest documents state that several agencies were called in for assistance to validate these claims. Police said they searched through their system and found six dispatched 911 calls to three different agencies in one night. Upon further investigation, police found that Mendenhall made eight calls over four days.

Police approached the residence and made contact with Mendenhall who stated that she and her grandmother lived at the residence and no one was in immediate danger. Police said that Melendez was acting very "aggressively" and being "argumentative."

She was arrested and booked in Salt Lake County jail on the aforementioned charge.

Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
