Teen killed, 20-year-old injured in Madison shooting; Nashville Police investigating

An 18-year-old is dead and another man injured after a shooting in Madison during what investigators believe was a drug transaction, police said.

Nashville Police were called to Gallavista Avenue, a residential road, just before 6 p.m. Wednesday after the shooting, police said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

Micah Pruitt, 18, was driven by the other victim, a 20-year-old man, to Skyline Medical Center with gunshot wounds. The Toyota Camry the 20-year-old drove had been shot multiple times, police said.

Pruitt was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The other victim was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.
