Temperatures bounce around before big cooldown
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy, Cold. Lo 42. Winds WSW 0-5 mph.
MONDAY: Mild, Breezy. Hi 64. Lo 40.
TUESDAY: Partly Cloudy, Cool. Hi 56. Lo 45.
Once again we struggled mightily to get close to 60 and even lost progress, partly thanks to increasing cloud cover later in the day Sunday. The official high in Harrisburg was a cool 54 degrees! Overnight temperatures dip into the low 40s.
We max out for the week in the mid 60s Monday as our up and down pattern continues. A strong polar airmass moves in Thursday to cool us down significantly for the end of the week. Expect highs in the 40s for the coming weekend. More important is the chance of rain we'll be seeing with Thursday's front, with widespread rain expected Thursday morning. We'll also see showers Wednesday evening and Friday. Models so far have been relatively consistent about intensity and timing. With the dominance of dry air there are questions about how much rainfall we can actually extract. We'll keep you updated!
