HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today will turn out to be a fairly nice day, although it is a bit chilly this morning. Some may be seeing a little patchy frost north and east of the Tri-Cities area. There will be a good amount of sunshine, although a few clouds will pass through from west to east through the day. After the chilly start, temperatures will rise to the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s. The warmest temperatures will be out west. Winds will become slightly breezy out of the south, mainly west of the Tri-Cities. One other thing to mention is that we are seeing some smoky skies, which is more noticeable at sunrise and sunset. This may be around for a few more days at least. Overnight, we'll see lows from the upper 30s west to the mid 40s east.

Tomorrow will be a fairly sunny day with a little bit of a southerly breeze. Highs will be warmer, getting into the low to mid 80s. Wednesday will have just a few more clouds around as temperatures rise into the mid to upper 80s. Similar highs are expected on Thursday. A cool front moves in from the northwest on Friday, which will bring a slight cool-down to northwestern areas. Highs will range from the lower 70s northwest to the upper 80s to around 90° southeast. Saturday will feature that slightly "cooler" air with highs from the mid 70s to mid 80s. These are still well above average.

A much bigger cool-down could come early next week. By Sunday, highs could be in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. We could see upper 60s and lower 70s again on Monday. Beyond that, there's more uncertainty with what will happen beyond a week from today. The next seven days will remain dry with just a few extra clouds Friday through Sunday.
