5th grade teacher arrested on campus, possibly facing felony drug charge

SAN ANTONIO - A 5th-grade teacher at a Northside ISD school was arrested on campus on a drug-related charge.

On Wednesday, the Northside Independent School District (NISD) confirmed that officers with the NISD Police Department arrested the teacher at Jim G. Martin Elementary School.

The district reports that neither the arrest nor the offense involved any students at the school. NISD says the arrest did not involve a warrant.

NISD also reported the teacher had taught 5th grade at Martin Elementary School for the whole duration of her employment. She started with the district in 2019.

Her identity, as well as the specifics of her offense and charges, have yet to be released.
