The 'anti-nepo babies' on very normal salaries: Celebrity kids who have shunned a leg-up into lucrative showbiz careers to become nurses, army officers and nannies

Growing up with parents in the spotlight is bound to open many doors for their offspring. From the likes of Mel B 's daughter Phoenix Chi, Kate Moss' model daughter Lila and Katie Price's daughter Princess - many are now pulling in the cash in the showbiz world thanks to their famous parents. However, while celebrity nepo babies might seem to dominate the headlines, there are a plethora of famous offspring forging their own path the more ordinary way by attending university - and earning ordinary salaries. It seems plenty of celebrity children aren't attempting to follow in their parents footsteps instead heading to university to pursue a range of subjects. And in doing this they are shunning the bigger salaries - making the kind of money most average people in the UK would. So here MailOnline takes a look at the real hard working anti nepo babies and their potential earnings: Jamie Oliver's son Daisy - trainee nurse - £24k Jamie and Jools Oliver's son Daisy has chosen an honorable career path as a nurse - entering the healthcare system at the bottom of the ladder. The 21-year-old has just finished a three-month placement at a hospital in Leeds Nurses starting work as trainees in the NHS tend to earn around £24,000 per year. Chef Jamie, 49, shared a snap of Daisy in her nursing scrubs when he paid tribute to her on her 21st birthday in April, describing her as 'amazingly kind'. Earlier this year Daisy risked landing herself in hot water after sharing a series of graphic posts – which could be deemed unprofessional – on social media about her work and her patients. Some of the posts appear to go against a strict code of conduct drawn up by nurses' regulator, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) which has the power to strike off nurses. Posting on TikTok , and wearing a fleece with her name embroidered under the NHS logo, Daisy – the second of five children born to Jamie and his wife Jools – described in detail too graphic for a family newspaper that she had done a 'bowel evacuation' and added: 'Why am I ok with this?' In another post, she wrote that she was in A&E for gastritis – inflammation of the stomach lining – which she said was 'most likely caused by the woman who threw her pad in my face'. She also said the incident had left her with faeces in her mouth. 'I wish I was joking but I'm not,' she wrote. She also described 'crying in public transport... when the reality of wrapping up dead people decides to kick in'. Another image, featuring Daisy in her white nursing scrubs, looks like it was taken on a hospital ward. NHS hospitals and training institutions have strict rules about posting content linked to the workplace on social media. Rowan Atkinson's son Ben - Army officer - £15k Rowan Atkinson's son Ben, 31, chose a life in the military - instead of following his famous father into acting. In 2019 he joined the Gurkhas after spending three months in Nepal. Lt Ben was put through a 10 week course and taught about the local culture to join the unique unit of the British Army. The son of Rowan and make-up artist Sunetra Sastry had to learn Nepalese in his role as a Gurkha officer. Exeter University graduate Lt Atkinson, whose actor father is worth around £90million, provided a guard of honour in 2018 for Emmanuel Macron and Theresa May at Sandhurst. His father played Edmund Blackadder in all four series of the comedy – which was ranked second in a BBC poll of Britain's greatest sitcoms. The Gurkhas are soldiers native to the Indian subcontinent that are recruited for the British and Indian army. They have been part of the British Army for over 200 years. Gurkha privates start at around £1,200 per month in terms of their salary. Ulrika Jonsson's daughter Bo - Norland Nanny - 45k Ulrika Jonsson's daughter, Bo, 24, has shunned a life in the spotlight after completing her training to be a nanny at the prestigious Norland College. Back in April 2023 Ulrika, 57, shared snaps with her daughter after she graduated from her university course. The TV star told how proud she was of her daughter - who was born with a congenital heart condition - for reaching the milestone after always struggling with academia. Praising more 'practical' degrees and apprenticeships she said Bo was a 'grafter and a doer' as she shared snaps from the ceremony at prestigious Norland College -where the Prince and Princess of Wales 's childminder learned her craft. The training costs £36,000 in total and includes martial arts training and stunt driving to its curriculum to cater for modern clients - many of whom are celebrities and the super-rich. In London, a Norland nanny with 1–2 years of experience can earn between £45,000–48,000 Molly McFadden - theatre student - £24k The daughter of Westlife star Brian McFadden and Atomic Kitten's Kerry Katona - has been living a decidedly normal life out of the spotlight that she was born into. The 23-year-old lives in Dublin where she is an acting student at the prestigious Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin, the alma mater of Normal People stars Paul Mescal and Éanna Hardwicke. She graduated in 2022 with a Diploma in Acting and Theatre Studies and it's believed she's progressed to the three-year, full-time, intensive honours degree, which she will complete in 2025. Far from being a nepo baby, Molly's showbusiness connections didn't play a role in her acceptance because all students are required to audition for their place on the intensive course, which is described as being much more rigorous than other drama schools. Appearing on Loose Women with Kerry in 2020, the youngster made a telling comment about how seriously she takes her career when she shot down rumours that she was set to appear on Love Island, insisting: 'I'll leave the reality TV to my mum.' The budding actress instead has turned her hand to Shakespeare, appearing in student productions such as Much Ado About Nothing, in which she played Leonora, a female version of Leonato. The average drama graduate salary in the United Kingdom is £24,000 per year. Gordon Ramsay's daughter Megan - police officer - £38k Gordon Ramsay's daughter Megan, 26, graduated from Oxford Brooks University in 2019 with a degree in psychology and is currently working as a police officer. At her graduation Gordon shared a picture on his Instagram of Megan in her cap and gown and penned: 'So proud of this young Lady ... hard work pays off ! Congratulations Megan love you Dad .' He said in 2023 of his daughter: 'Megan's an incredible police officer.' Gordon - who has an estimated net worth of $220 million - has previously said his children won't be left his multi-million pound fortune in his will. The chef, who is known for his Michelin-starred restaurants and heated reality television programmes, said his children will only be getting a 25 per cent deposit on a flat as he prefers them to 'work hard' for their money as it is not his 'number one objective.' Speaking to The Telegraph , Mr Ramsay said: 'It's [his fortune] definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way; it's to not spoil them. 'Last time we went to Royal Hospital Road [his restaurant in Chelsea] was for Megan's 16th birthday, and that was the first time we've ever eaten there with the kids. 'They have served the Chelsea pensioners there for Christmas lunch, but not eaten there. 'They don't sit with us in first class. They haven't worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that...I worked my f- arse off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you've grafted for it.' Carol Vorderman's daughter Dr Katie - nanoscientist - £40k Carol Vorderman's daughter Dr Katie King is a 31-year-old nanoscientist who has proved she's just as smart as her mathematician mother. As a nanotechnologist working in research it's likely you'll earn between £25,000 and £35,000 once you've completed your PhD. At a senior level, nanotechnologists can earn between £30,000 and £40,000. Salaries at this level vary between sectors. University professors or similar can earn upwards of £60,000. In January 2024 it was revealed Dr Katie was taking the fight against cancer into space, with plans to build a pharmaceutical factory in orbit. Dr Katie hopes to use zero-gravity production to change the face of medicine. Her technology already has the backing of the European Space Agency, and she is in negotiations for her work to undergo trials on the International Space Station (ISS) next year. The scientist, who takes inspiration from her mother, has focused on antibody cancer treatments - which include immunotherapy drugs for lung, skin and breast cancer. She aims to make antibodies in a crystalline structure, which could transform the method in which they are delivered. If successful, it could lead to cancer patients being able to inject drugs at home rather than spending hours in hospital on a drip every few weeks. 'If you form them into tiny crystals, you can get a concentration high enough to then inject into the skin in a few minutes,' she told the Sunday Times. 'You can just do it at home, just like diabetics inject themselves with insulin.' Dr King's father is Vorderman's second husband, Patrick King. Gordon Ramsay's son Jack - Royal Marines - £25k In 2020 Gordon proudly revealed his son Jack has joined the Marines, as he shared a number of celebratory family snaps on Friday. The celebrity chef took to Instagram to announce the news, as he shared snaps of himself and a then 18-month-old son Oscar posing with a uniformed Jack, now 20. Captioning the heartwarming images, Gordon wrote: 'Can't tell you enough how proud I am of this young man. 'Jack Ramsay you've made me feel like the proudest father today congrats on joining what amazing achievement.' Royal Marines Commandos have a starting salary of over £25,000, and can earn up to £51,000 as they progress in their careers. Close family friend David Beckham also took to his Instagram account to mark the momentous occasion, as he shared an adorable snap of Oscar wearing Jack's hat. Adding a caption to the image, which showed Gordon beaming as he kept the headgear in place on Oscar's head, David wrote: 'And next up is
