The Hospital Auxiliary scholarships reach $90k

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WSAV) – The Hospital Auxiliary has awarded more than $90,000 in scholarships to nursing students in 2024.

Scholarships have been awarded to students at the Technical College of the Lowcountry and the University of South Carolina Beaufort. The Auxiliary also has provided scholarships to employees and children of employees working at Novant's Hilton Head and Coastal Carolina Medical Centers, who wish to further their education in clinical health care fields.

Since 2020, the Auxiliary has given out more than $345,000 in scholarships.

The Auxiliary receives its funding through the annual Auxiliary Golf Tournament , the Hospital Gift Shops, and private donations. This year's tournament will take place on November 18-19 and is expected to raise more than $80,000 for the Auxiliary.
